The Fault in our Stars

"Hazel and Gus are two extraordinary teenagers who share an acerbic wit, a disdain for the conventional, and a love that sweeps them - and us - on an unforgettable journey. Their relationship is all the more miraculous, given that they met and fell in love at a cancer support group."

After hearing so much praise from my peers about this book, I finally decided to give it a read. To be honest with you, I thought I wasn't going to enjoy reading this book because it first came across to me as being 'a typical' romantic story about two teenagers who fall in love....etc. However, now that I have read it, I can see why so many people liked the it!

The book is funny and witty which had me laughing out loud a fair few times. I'd definitely recommend this to any young person looking to read something this summer.

Christmas at Hillsong 2013

On Friday 20th December 2013, Hillsong Church London held their annual Christmas Carol Service at Wembley Arena and this year was an exceptional year indeed. With the entire venue filled to the brim, the spectacular show did not fail to disappoint. From beginning to the end, the atmosphere was electrifying and during the performance, you could really feel the presence of God resonate in the building.
The show took the audience on a journey of the real essence of celebrating Christmas and why we should rejoice and sing high praises even more around this time of year - because of the birth of Jesus, our King and Saviour who came redeem all mankind from their trespasses so that they would be free from death and receive eternal life and gain a relationship with God. This is why we celebrate Christmas because this is the day the saviour was born!
My favourite performance of the night was 'O Holy Night' - The singer was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, I did not record this performance. However, below is a clip which took the traditional 'Silent Night' Carol into the 21st century by having the backing track to one of Beyoncé's Songs.
